What our guests really think

A tranquil & stylish base to explore beautiful Kentish countryside and towns   4.8/5
"I spent a week in the Workshop whilst holidaying in Kent and had a fantastic time. There are so many great things about this place… First off it’s simply a beautiful property! Nice just to be in and very comfortable. I loved relaxing in the living room and slept fantastically (once I’d dug out my earplugs, since the birds of Lymbridge Green are noisy early risers). The shower was also great in particular. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and had left some consumables as an arrival gift which were a lovely touch and greatly appreciated. They were kind and approachable and when I had some questions about how things worked they were very quick to help. Lastly the location of the property was perfect for me. It’s right next to some wonderful footpaths and bridleways so really good for getting out into nature. Alternatively, with most of Kent being at most a 30 min drive away, it also makes a great base if your plans involve lots of getting out and travelling. There were only two small things I had difficulties with in my stay. One was that seemingly some of the kitchen equipment didn’t work (specifically the oven and microwave - I am still not convinced they work as I wasn’t able to get them going despite getting hold of the correct manuals online). This made my dining plans for the week a bit trickier but hopefully these can be addressed and there is a hob that works well in the meantime. The second thing was that the living room lighting is fairly dim, which is very cosy but in the evening makes things like reading a bit hard unless you go to the bedroom. Both of these wouldn’t be issues if you were planning to use The Workshop primarily as a base for coming and going, dining out etc, but did hinder ‘living’ there a little, for me at least. Despite this I would absolutely recommend The Workshop as a place to stay whilst you’re in Kent and would love to return in the future. Thank you to my hosts!"
